The following pages contain examples of some of my most recent artwork. I have been experimenting with a variety of mixed-media approaches. Often the final results are ink jet,  digital prints. The process along the way may begin with traditional drawings that are scanned or photographs that are then manipulated and printed out. They might then be painted on and rescanned. I also use copier toners that I spread, sprinkle or paint on and then bake to set. I may start with the toner colors or watercolor and then print on top of these with scanned images or photographs. Some images are manipulated in other ways. For instance, La Momia Primera below went through many of the previous processes and then was printed. I then folded and wrinkled the paper, poured bleach on it, rinsed and ironed it. I photographed the result and manipulated it further on the computer and made the final print. In general, I continue to experiment until i find satisfaction in the result.

This kind of extensive processing is an attempt to be consistent with the ideas that I am exploring. The battering and weathering of age has been a consistent element in my work for awhile. As I grow older I become more and more aware of my mortality and the results of time and experience. Everyday events change,   mold, add to and chip away  at who I am both mentally and physically. I can't help but reflect these elements in my artwork.
